Admission Requirements

a.         O’level

5 O’ level credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other 2 subjects obtained at not more than two sittings.

b.         Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

The candidate must be a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University with at least a Third Class degree or a minimum of  lower  Credit in the Higher National Diploma, HND, from a recognized Institution

c.         Master’s Degree (MSc)

i.          The candidate must have a first degree in Cooperative Economics and Management or in a related field such as agricultural business, rural development, agricultural economics and extension, economics with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University

ii.         A candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Cooperative Economics and Management or in a relevant area with an FCGPA of not less than 3.00 may also be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied

d.         MPhil/PhD

            The candidate must have a Masters degree in the Cooperative Economics and Management with an FCGPA of not less than 3.20 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University

 

e.         Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree

A candidate who holds a master’s degree in a relevant discipline with an FCGPA not less than 3.50 on a 5 Point Scale or an average of 60%, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied.
