Admission Requirements
a. O’level
Candidates must have credit passes in 5 O’level subjects to include English, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology/Agriculture Science and any other. Pass in Mathematics, may be considered if the candidate has a credit in Physics or vice versa. The 5credits must be obtained in not more than two sitting. The credit pass in Agricultural Science must be backed up at least with a pass in Biology.
b. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
The criteria for admission into the PGD Programme will be as follows:
Matriculation requirements of individual Universities including Mathematics and English Language. A candidate with at least 3rd class degree in Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Minimum of HND lower Credit in fisheries and aquaculture or related disciplines from a recognized institution.
c. Master’s Degree (MSc)
Candidates seeking admission for Academic Master of Science Degree Programme in fisheries and aquaculture must have any of the following qualifications from recognized Institutions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Aquaculture or related disciplines with a minimum of 2.5 FCGPA on a 5-point scale .
d. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree
i. Candidates seeking admission for Doctor of Philosophy in fisheries and aquaculture must have the following qualifications from recognized institution.
ii. Academic Masters (M.Sc.) Degree in fisheries and aquaculture with a minimum FCGPA of 3.50 on 5 point scale or 60%in the overall result . He shall also fulfill any other entry requirements as specified by the Faculty Board of Agriculture of the Post Graduate school of Nnamdi Azikiwe University
