Admission Requirements
a. O’level
5 O’ level credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and other subject from Biology/Geography/Agric Science obtained at not more than two sittings.
b. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
The candidate must be a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University with at least a Third Class degree in in Geology/ Geophysics and other relevant disciplines or a minimum of lower Credit in the Higher National Diploma, HND, from a recognized Institution
c. Master’s Degree (MSc)
i. The candidate must have a first degree in Geological Sciences with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University
ii. A candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma with an FCGPA of not less than 3.00 may also be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied
d. Master’s Degree (Integrated Water resources Management IWRM)
i. A relevant Bachelor’s degree includes: Physical Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Management Sciences with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and other relevant disciplines from a recognized institution, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the University Senate.
ii. A relevant Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering, Water Resources/Environmental Engineering, Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) from a recognized institution.
iii. BSc plus National Water Resources Training Institute Certificate for those without Background in (i) above.
d. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree
A candidate who holds a master’s degree in Geology with an FCGPA not less than 3.50 on a 5 Point Scale or an average of 60%, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied
