Admission Requirements
The department offers the M.Sc and Ph. D programmes in Human Biochemistry
a. O’level
All candidates must have five credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology obtained at not more than two sittings.
PGD
The candidate must have a first degree . (Third Class Hons.) degree in Biochemistry and allied disciplines of Biological, Life and Medical Sciences with a minimum pass of a Second Class Honours (Lower Division).
b. Master’s Degree
i. The candidate must have a first degree in Biochemistry with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University
c. Ph. D Programme
A candidate who holds a master’s degree in Biochemistry with an FCGPA not less than 3.50 on a 5 Point Scale or an average of 60%, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied
