Admission Requirements
Minimum General Requirements
Candidates for the postgraduate programme in Social Policy must possess a minimum of 5 credits including English Language and any four relevant subjects at one or two sittings from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB based on the Institute and General University Requirements.
Postgraduate Diploma Programme
The following may apply for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma in Social Policy programme:
i. Graduates from approved Universities who hold first degree classification with FCGPA of 1.50 and above on a 5-point scale.
ii. Graduates from approved Polytechnics or Monotechnics who hold a Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit.
Master’s Degree Programme
The entry requirements for Master of Science (M.Sc.) programme are as follows:
i. Graduates from approved Universities who hold first degree in any discipline with minimum FCGPA of 2.50 on a 5-point scale or a minimum of 45% for Universities that do not use FCGPA.
ii. Holders of Postgraduate Diploma in Social Policy from recognized institutions with a minimum FCGPA of 3.00 on a 5-point scale.
Ph.D. Programme
Graduates from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and other recognized universities who hold master degrees in social policy or any other social science discipline with minimum FCGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale or a minimum of 60% on the percentage scale.
