Admission Requirements
a. O’level
5 O’ level credits to include English Language and any other 4 subjects obtained at not more than two sittings.
· Students are required to demonstrate the ability to read and write one African language. Students are strongly advised to acquire knowledge of an additional European language.
b. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
The candidate must be a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University with at least a Third-Class degree or a minimum of lower Credit in the Higher National Diploma, HND, from a recognized Institution
c. Master’s Degree (MA)
i. The candidate must have a first degree in Linguistics or relevant discipline with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University
ii. A candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma with an FCGPA of not less than 3.00 may also be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied
d. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree
A candidate who holds a master’s degree in Linguistics with an FCGPA not less than 3.50 on a 5 Point Scale or an average of 60%, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied
