Admission Requirements
a. O’level
5 O’ level credits to include English Language, French and any other 3 subjects [French is optional] obtained at not more than two sittings.
b. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
The candidate must be a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University with at least a Third-Class degree (B.A. Education/French) or a minimum of lower Credit in the Higher National Diploma, HND, from a recognized Institution
c. Master’s Degree (MA)
i. The candidate must have a first degree in in French or French Studies, French Language or French Literary Studies with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University
ii. A candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma in French, French Studies, French Language or French Literary Studies with an FCGPA of not less than 3.00 may also be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied
d. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree
A candidate who holds a Master’s degree in French, French Studies, French Language or French Literary Studies with an FCGPA not less than 3.50 on a 5 Point Scale or an average of 60%, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied
