Admission Requirements

A.        Master of Science (MSc)

In addition to the general requirements for admission into the Master’s degree programme by the university, candidates are expected to at least

1.     hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery

2.     Primary fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology will be an added advantage.

B.  Doctorate programme

In addition to the general requirements for admission into the Doctorate degree programme by the university, candidates are expected to at least hold:

a.       Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh;MBBS)

b.       Master of Science (MSc) with an FCGPA ≥ 3.50 in a relevant discipline of clinical science from a recognized University or

Part 1 fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) or its equivalent in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

C.  Executive Ph.D BY RESEARCH

Executive PhD by Research in Reproductive Medicine and Women's Health

This is for academic staff of the University (NAU) who is a Professor or Reader with Full Medical Fellowship (Part II)

Such a candidate shall have:

(a)   Publications – A minimum of five (5) scientific publications in the respective area of specialization, with clearly identifiable or defined theme and focus, published in an indexed journal, visible online obtained within the preceding five years from the date of application. These must have been published in journals with any SCIMAGO or Thompson Reuters or SNIP impact factor. These papers shall be work done in Nigeria and

(b)  Google scholar citation – the minimum acceptable score should be 300

(c)   Authorship – the candidate must be the first or corresponding author in at least two of the publications in (a) above.
