Admission Requirements

a.         O’level

5 O’ level credits to include English Language, Government/History/Social Studies and 3 other subjects with at least a pass in maths obtained at not more than two sittings.

b.         Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

The candidate must be a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University with at least a Third Class degree or a minimum of  lower  Credit in the Higher National Diploma, HND, from a recognized Institution

c.         Master’s Degree (MSc)

i.          The candidate must have a first degree in Sociology with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University

ii.         A candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Sociology with an FCGPA of not less than 3.00 may also be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied

d.         Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree

A candidate who holds a master’s degree in Sociology with an FCGPA not less than 3.50 on a 5 Point Scale or an average of 60%, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied

d.         Professional Masters in Social Policy (MSP)

            O’level

Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language and any four subjects obtained at not more than two sittings

 

Professional Masters in Social Policy (MSP)

i.          The candidate must have a first degree in any discipline with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University

ii.         A candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma in any discipline with an FCGPA of not less than 3.00 may also be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied
